Baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism is the beginning of our journey in faith as Catholics, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.  Baptism cleanses us from sin, and welcomes us into the Church.

 

Typically, children born to Catholic parents are baptized shortly after birth.  Their parents must be members of the Ste. Genevieve Parish and faithful Catholics. They are the most important part of this sacrament, when their “yes” begins their child’s life as a member of Christ’s Church.

Baptismal Preparation is required for first-time parents.
